Thyme is a flowering shrub indigenous to the Mediterranean countries and neighbouring countries in North Africa and Asia. This herb is a powerful green plant that grows commonly all over the world.
A common kitchen herb, it is very easy to grow in planters, or outdoors in temperate regions.
Experts in language tell us that the name thyme was derived from the Greek word thumus, or courage. In Medieval times, knights wore sprigs of thyme on their armor as a sign of courage, as the scent was thought to give them strength in the midst of battle.
This scent is green, with very sharp attributes. I personally find this oil a wonderful contrast to the jasmine, clary sage and lemongrass within this section.
